Six high-level inputs and matching optional plug & play cables enable connection not only to standard sound systems, but also to a wide range of partially and fully active car audio systems. The high practicality of the A894DSP is already evident in the input section: the input channels can be distributed, split or merged to the output channels with complete flexibility. As a highlight, the input equalizer can even be used to linearize the music signal if required.
Plug & Play connection to premium sound systems
Separate ATS-ISO8xxx cable harnesses are available for the A894DSP, which support up to six high-level inputs and enable connection to premium sound systems with an integrated amplifier. The connectors of these A894DSP P&P cables are custom-fit for maximum retrofit capability. Setups are already stored in the Axton app for each of these P&P cables.
Plug & Play standard connection of the A894DSP
With the ATS-ISO8BASIC adapter, the A894DSP can be used with all AXTON Specific wiring harnesses. Our carefully crafted ATS-ISO connection cables fit perfectly with models from over 30 vehicle brands, such as Audi, BMW, Citroen, Dacia, Ford, Mercedes-Benz, Renault and Volkswagen.
BTL power
The extensive BTL modes (bridge mode) offer a flexible choice of output channels, e.g. BTL8.0 with 8 x 60 W RMS @ 4 Ohm, BTL6.1 with 6 x 60 W + 1 x 230 W RMS @ 4 Ohm, BTL4.2 with 4 x 60 W + 2 x 230 W RMS @ 4 Ohm or even 4.1 with up to 4 x 75 W + 400 W RMS @ 2 Ohm for the subwoofer. With this high power, not only can the performance of the original factory speakers be improved, but there is also enough power to drive high-quality retrofit speakers.
If even more power or additional channels are required, the dual mono RCA output or the optical stereo output can be used to conveniently forward an individualized signal to a separate subwoofer or center amplifier.
Take Control
All functions of the integrated digital sound processor can be controlled via a single AXTON smartphone app, which is available free of charge for iOS and Android. The app enables extensive DSP sound settings per channel such as channel routing, delay time correction, freely configurable frequency filters (6/12/18/24 dB in the three selectable Butterworth, Bessel and Linkwitz-Riley characteristics), gain control as well as a 31-band parametric output equalizer and 9-band input EQ. A bass and a treble control are available for quick sound manipulation. Up to five favorites can be saved on the A894DSP and an infinite number of setups on the smartphone.
Presets
Predefined setups are already integrated in the app for each of the A894DSP-specific plug & play connection cables. These presets include the channel routing and a pre-setting of the crossover frequencies for the target vehicle and simplify the installation considerably. Of course, these settings can still be customized and adapted to your own hi-fi concept.
Bluetooth and more
The integrated Bluetooth audio streaming interface makes it easy to stream your own music collection to the amp. The A894DSP also offers the option of playing Hi-Res Audio music data with the ABT50 streaming interface, which is available separately. Thanks to the optical inputs and outputs, several AXTON DSP amplifiers can be linked together without signal quality loss. A separately available A592DSP-RC remote control can be connected to the A894DSP.
