Class-A Hybrid Integrated Amplifier
The third edition of our successful model is presented in a completely revised design. The SV-237 MKII appears more modern and elegant than its predecessors. Modern now also with the connection possibilities. In addition to two digital inputs, there is also a Bluetooth input on board. The unique circuit was developed by Frank Blöhbaum, who uses two 6N1P NOS tubes in the preamp section, which give the sound naturalness, musicality and warmth.
Internal structure – crucial for an excellent sound
The third edition of our successful model presents itself in a revised design. As can be seen at first look, the chrome elements on the front panel disappeared. The „new“ SV-237 looks more modern and elegant at the same time.
Also the inputs have been “modernized”. The SV-237 MKII now has a Bluetooth input (Vers. 5.0) included. So you can easily transfer your music from any mobile phone or tablet to the amplifier.
Furthermore, as with the predecessor, digital music signals can be sent to the amplifier either via an optical cable or a coax cable. The built-in D/A converter module from Burr Brown (PCM 5102) works with a bit rate of 24 bit / 192 kHz and can therefore process high-resolution music files. The SV-237 MK II uses hybrid technology. For Vincent, hybrid means „the best of both worlds“.
Two 6N1P NOS tubes work in the preamp section, lending the sound naturalness and warmth. For better dynamics and the final amplification, 4 transistors are used in the power amp section. These deliver up to 250 watts (RMS) power per channel.
The circuit concept of the predecessors was already optimized for a very good signal-to-noise ratio.
High efficiency loudspeakers can also be used without any problems on the SV-237 MKII – and without any noise that can usually result from the use of tubes.
