The SV-228 is the logical further development of a successful Power Line amplifier series. In a completely new guise, with a VU meter embedded in the front panel, the SV-228 presents itself as the legitimate successor to the SV-227 MK.

… to present a new release from a Vincent amplifier line with a long tradition. The new Vincent SV-228 is the natural evolutionary step in the succession of the Power Line units from the Vincent SV-226 through the SV-226MK, SV-226MKII, SV-227 and SV-227MK.
The SV-228 presents itself in a completely new “outfit”, with a VU meter embedded in the front panel. The colored backlight can be switched using a slide switcher on the backside
Also the inputs of the amplifier have been changed. Now the new SV-228 has a Bluetooth input (ver. 5.0) for wireless streaming. For home cinema fans we have added a Main Input, which allows to use the unit as a power amplifier. Here you can connect an A/V preamplifier for example. Internally 3 valves (1 x 6N4, 2 x JJ ECC82) are working in the input stage, which are preparing the music signal before it is passed to the output stage. For the final amplification Toshiba A1941 transistors are used, which generating an output power of max. 180 Watts per channel. Enough power to drive also critical speakers.
In terms of sound, the SV-228 is in no way inferior to its predecessors. Quite the contrary – dynamics and fine resolution have been improved, without losing it’s natural and warm characteristics. Of course, the SV-228 has an Auto-Shut-Down function define by the Eco design Regulation, which can be switched off by a switcher on the backside of the unit.
