The new AXTON 10 cm component system ATC100S replaces the successful predecessor model, which was awarded “Best Product” – with a significant increase in efficiency and performance. The ATC100S impresses with its impulsive sound and enormous spatiality, but also with its ease of installation: The innovative loudspeaker baskets made of high-strength, low-vibration composite material enable an installation depth of a minimum of 39 mm – a real problem solver for small installation spaces!
The woofers / midrange drivers use a specially shaped basket that offers the necessary stability and contributes to optimal voice coil ventilation through the rear openings. In addition, there is the proven AXTON PP membrane with its excellent damping and a massive ferrite magnet, which increases the efficiency. The progressive suspension with Nomex spider and durable rubber surround is a lightweight, durable mount that provides high linearity and accuracy.
Thanks to the 25 mm fabric tweeter, extensive listening sessions are a pleasure even at high listening volumes. The special diffuser enables targeted radiation and optimizes the stage image. Low-resonance and true to detail in the reproduction, the tweeter also scores with its small installation dimensions. For flexible installation – even far away from the original installation opening – the set includes a surface-mounted housing that enables two different beam angles.
The ATC100S can easily replace the factory-fitted components: the woofers can be swapped 1:1, there is no need to install a shared crossover for mid/woofer and tweeter. A crossover is located directly on the woofer, the included compact 6 dB / oct. Tweeter crossover (with 0 / -3 dB level reduction) can be conveniently placed behind the panel.
