The amplifier can also work in a multi-room environment, allowing you to sound several rooms in your home and control their playback via a dedicated application.
TDA7498 Amplifier
The Class D amplifier stage of the StreamAmp AM160 is based on a TDA7498 chip, capable of delivering 2x40W at 8Ω or 2x80W at 4Ω. Comfortable power combined with high efficiency and a transparent and precise reproduction. This amplifier chip is associated with a digital DSP.
WM8918 DAC
The digital/analog conversion stage is entrusted to a WM8918 DAC chip, supporting PCM sample rates up to 24bit 192kHz. This chip allows a high quality conversion, greatly contributing to the AM160’s quality of reproduction.
Connectivity
The iEast Streamamp AM160 is a network amplifier, making it easy to stream music over the network. Thus, it integrates an Ethernet RJ45 connection as well as WiFi reception. It is compatible with DLNA, AirPlay or Spotify Connect protocols as well as many streaming services. Control is simply done via a dedicated application available on Android and iOS.
The amplifier also has a USB-A 2.0 port for connecting a storage device (USB stick, hard disk) and an RCA input for connecting another source.
