FPX 5.1200

Focal

5-Channel D Class Amplifier 4 x 120W + 1 x 720W

5-CHANNEL AMPLIFIER – 4 X 120 WATTS 1 X 720

5-channel FPX 5.1200 amplifier has a maximum power of 4 x 120 Watt + 1 x 720 Watt at 2 Ohms!

The input selector (2/4/6 channels) duplicates channels, meaning there will always be 5 output channels, even if the head unit only has one or two stereo outputs.

To perfectly tune the subwoofer to the rest of the installation, the bass channel has a low-pass active crossover, a bass equaliser, phase adjustment and a subsonic filter (particularly useful for cutting off frequencies which are too low for a small subwoofer). The remote control enables you to adjust the bass level from the driving seat depending on the type of music you’re listening to.

Stable at 4 and 2 Ohms, this new FPX amplifier will drive most speaker drivers on the market with just the right amount of power: 4 x 75 Watts + 1 x 420 Watts RMS at 4 Ohms (CEA standard). With its power and contained volume, FPX 5.1200 makes the installation easier in order to make the most of your boot space.

  • Classe D amplifier
  • Input selector (2/4/6 channels)
  • Stable under 4 and 2 Ohms
  • Adjustable active crossover for each pair of channels

OPTIMISED HEAT DISSIPATION

For an amplifier to provide high power and musicality, efficiency and heat dissipation are two essential qualities. In order to optimize these aspects, FPX amplifiers have been given a thick aluminum chassis. The distribution of the components was also carefully researched to optimize the cooling capacity of the chassis.

The careful selection of each component (switching power supply, oversized toroidal transformers and high-quality capacitors) has made it possible to create powerful but ultra-compact amplifiers offering excellent musicality.

EASY INSTALL

By using Class D technology, Focal has reduced the need for heat dissipation for its FPX range. Focal’s goal is to offer electronics equipment which is very compact and powerful, but without sacrificing musicality. The dimensions of the 5-channel FPX 5.1200 amplifier (337 x 175 x 57mm / 13.25″ x 6.8″ x 2.25″) are nearly the same as the FPX 4.400 SQ. The FPX 5.1200 has a maximum power of 4 x 120 Watt + 1 x 720 Watt at 2 Ohms!
