Marine CD Receiver / iPod® Controller
The best way to enjoy your music on the water, is with Alpine's fully IPx5 waterproof marine head unit, the CDA-118M. The CDA-118M is designed for full operation in your boat. The CDA-118M comes in a 1.8 DIN faceplate size, for an easy upgrade for standard marine head units. This unit features a large 2-line LCD screen, viewable in direct sunlight. Skip-resistant CD mechanism ensures continuous playback while you’re on the waves. The CDA-118M is fully IPx5 waterproof and salt fog/UV certified. EEPROM no-loss memory, ensures even when the boat is not in use and the battery is disconnected, all your radio presets, zone controls, sound adjustments will stay intact.
IPx5 and ASTM-B117 Tested
The CDA-118M undergoes strict marine testing, including intrusion protection and salt fog tests to ensure performance on water conditions. The NEMA IPx5 water intrusion test requires a product to remain watertight for three minutes after enduring water spray from a 1/4” diameter nozzle or powerful jets of 12.5 liters water per minute from a distance of 3 meters. The ASTM's B117 standard defines a product's salt and fog rigidity by testing it in a custom built salt spray testing chamber with 70°C internal temperature where the product is sprayed with 6.0000 drops of salt water over a period of 24 hours. The CDA-118M is IPx5 rated and ASTM-B117 certified.

View caller information including caller ID, missed, dialed, and received calls right from the head unit display. Use the microphone supplied with the KCE-400BT to speak, then listen through your boat’s speakers. You can even set up your cell phone/head unit to automatically answer your calls. With select compatible phones with streaming audio capability, you can listen to music stored on your phone and have it stream through your Alpine system.
